We are Marco and Lieke. In 2016 we took over an old building on the canal, with a kitchen that was too little and a floor that creaked. That creaking is still there. We slowly built up the rest: first the pasta, then the wine list, and only after that the extra tables.
We roll our pasta ourselves every morning, with eggs from a farmer we know by name. What is not fresh does not make it to the menu. As a result, our menu is shorter than you are used to, and that is precisely the intention: rather twelve dishes that are right than forty that might be.
We have thirty-eight chairs and one rule: nobody is rushed. An evening with us takes as long as it takes.

“A short menu is no limitation. It is the promise that everything on it was made today.”
The three of us are there almost every evening. Whoever opens the door, cooks or pours.
We keep a few tables free every evening for those who come without a reservation.
